Is your pooch pudgy? Place both thumbs on your dog's back bone then run your fingers along his rib cage. If the bony part of each rib cannot be easily felt, your dog may be overweight. Another quickie test- stand directly over your dog while he's standing. If you can't see a clearly defined waist behind his rib cage, he's probably needs a bit overweight.
